Visiting Kevin in Iowa. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of when we visited Cody at ISU (not OSU), but we had good times regardless.

Here's some of us at the SPAM museum in Austin, Minnesota.

After our adventures in the southern part of the state, we made our way up to the Twin Cities, where we are now waiting for repairs on the Subaru's brakes.
I might also mention that the Mall of America has no special properties other than being really big. Also, it is owned by Canadians. It's true.

No pictures of Austin with the sign for Austin?
ReplyDeleteI love how the first two sentences lack proper grammar.
ReplyDeleteAll right wise guy, you fix it then.
ReplyDeleteI'm not very grammatical and I often struggle in my own syntax, but I would have put something along the lines of this:
ReplyDeleteNow, using proper capitalization and punctuation, it is my turn. Here are some pictures of us.
I'm not even sure if "so" is necessary. The first sentence was not a compound sentence. When using a coordinator, one must put a comma before it. Thus, turning the original complex sentence(?) into a compound sentence. I do not see two simple sentences. I am also unsure of what "it" is. I suppose one could say "Now the turn is mine, all right."
Anyways...
The second sentence/part of a sentence screamed for help. "Here's some pictures of us."
Here IS some pictures of us.
I prefer to put "Here ARE some pictures of us."
"Is" should be used when the noun in the sentence is singular. Due to the noun "pictures" being plural, "are" should be used in the sentence. I think the word "some" makes it apparent.
I think I would chose to revise the sentence, again, as follows:
Now, using proper capitalization and punctuation, the turn is mine. Here are some pictures of us.
I think I should stop now. I'll start confusing myself if I go on. Enjoy the day!
